About Betsy Teigland

Betsy Teigland is the programs coordinator at the SMPH Office of Global Health. She is responsible for administering the former Graduate/Professional and Capstone Certificate programs as well as the new online certificate programs, the SMPH international clerkships and the Medical Spanish course that is offered each fall semester. Teigland participated in a study/service semester program in southern India while earning a B.S. in Nursing from St. Olaf College. She and her husband also lived in Swaziland for a year where she participated in various volunteer activities.  She has been very involved with refugee resettlement in Madison in recent years.
