  • Pre-Trip Checklist
    • Use this checklist to plan your trip, review requirements and deadlines, and identify the documents needed to complete the Electronic Travel Information and Approval Packet.
  • Electronic Travel Information and Approval Packet
    • Completion and submission of the packet is required for:
      • Phase 3 medical students participating in an international elective
      • students taking part in a Certificate independent field experience or any other Office of Global Health-approved independent study projects
      • students taking part in Guatemala Study Service program, Belize programs, or other faculty-led health sciences travel groups not administered through the campus Study Abroad office (UW International Academic Programs)
      • for students taking part in a Shapiro or SSRCA research experience
    • Submission of the Electronic Travel Information and Approval Packet, along with all required supporting documentation, is due at least 8 weeks prior to departure.
    • Students must upload all required supporting documentation as part of the electronic packet, including proof of CISI insurance coverage. Refer to the Pre-Trip Checklist for additional required documentation and pre-departure tasks.
